10 Minutes to a Room You'll Love

My friend the Nester has been doing mini makeovers for the past few Mondays by taking ordinary spaces in her home and in 10 minutes creating a completely new space. Of course I love this idea and have loved reading her posts. Well, this is my 10 minute makeover in my foyer.

Sorry there's no before picture to share but just use your imagination... there was nothing in this space.. very boring. This little niche grew from a desperate need of mine to organize my boys backpacks and jackets. Once they got home from school there was stuff EVERYWHERE!!

So, I took an ordinary shelf with hangers on it and simply painted it black and then took one of my many stars and painted it red and we now have one of my favorite places in the house.

Hooks to the rescue! I think every mom deals with the coats & backpack issue. It looks great! Funny - I've also painted a star or two in my day ;)
